A Jain temple?
[edit]Two drawings from the 19th century recognise this temple as a Jain temple dedicated to Adinātha.

- @जैन: That is why WP:HISTRS matters. We should avoid or use extra care in using 50+, 100+, 200+ years old cites, particularly when more recent scholarship is available. Everyone makes mistakes, including 19th-century writers / tour guide illustrators. Yes, what we can do is to add a para stating a few early colonial literature misidentified this temple and summarize how, why the correction was made.
